The 23 mth old homozygous polled bull by H Victor 0136 (imp) weighed 990kg off pasture/oats preparation with fat measurement of 12/8mm and an EMA 134cm. The Reid family were very pleased with the sale result with strong commercial and stud support. Bulls sold into 3 states with 10 studs purchasing sires.
Next at $24 000 was Talbalba Advance L131 by DC Advance bought by the Newnham family, Cara Park Herefords. At $15 000 were Talbalba Black Heart L081 to Foxforth Herefords, Guyra and another Advance son to Ian Ferguson, Goulburn purchasing online through Elite Livestock Auctions.
Jim Hann, Courallie J paid $14 000 for 21 month old Talbalba Advance L027. The Bowhay family ,Buckinbah, St George were strong supporters despite prolonged drought conditions purchasing 5 bulls to average $8750. Repeat buyers, the Hauff family also suffering from drought at Blackall finished with 4 bulls to average $5625.
